Singapore

Singapore, a tropical island city-state and a traveler’s paradise. The sunny “Little Red Dot” although tiny, boasts a plethora of activities and attractions for tourists. Being in the epicenter of Southeast Asia, Singapore is surrounded by the likes of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Singapore is the biggest catch of them all being the most developed and modern country in the region and yet retaining its cultural roots and heritage. Singapore is truly the place to be.

The multicultural and harmonious origins of Singapore make it a haven for foodies everywhere. Boasting delicious local delights such as the hearty Laksa - rice noodles in a spicy coconut soup topped with prawns - or everyone’s favorite Satay – skewered, grilled meat of your choice that is dipped in a tasty peanut sauce to be devoured -the list goes on and on. Singapore has a rich food culture with over a 100 hawker centers which sell these flavorful delectables at extremely cheap prices. In addition to this, Singapore is home to a whopping 42 One Michelin Star establishments allowing for a more high-class meal to those seeking one out.

Singapore is perfect for the quieter and more relaxed traveler too, being a natural wonderland as it is the Garden City after all. The Singapore Botanic Gardens, the only tropical garden to be declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an idyllic and peaceful place to go for a stroll while taking in the picturesque sights of flora and fauna. Singapore, being a tropical island, is also home to many beaches and national parks all over the country. Sentosa Beach is a go to for all tourists looking to unwind and suntan in the sand or chill at one of the many beach clubs. We offer to you the lesser-known beaches in Singapore too such as Lazarus Island which is a short ferry ride from the mainland and practically serves as a private beach given the low traffic.

The rich culture of Singapore does not end at its cuisine, however. Singapore’s rich history, heritage and multiracial makeup make it home to many religious and cultural sites such as the Sri Mariamman Temple – built in 1827, the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore – or the stunning Buddha Tooth Relic Temple located in the middle of the Chinatown district. These sites are two of many that offer an amazing view of architectural aesthetics as well as a refreshing and enlightening tour around the site. Chinatown and Little India are two of Singapore’s cultural districts which are ripe with the art, food, people, and practices of the region and always bustling with activity.
